The Manager of Application Development leads and oversees a multi-disciplinary technical team responsible for building secure, scalable enterprise applications that support operational and client needs. This role blends technical expertise with people-focused leadership, fostering a high-performing culture rooted in humility, drive, and emotional intelligence.
Key responsibilities include managing the full application development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to SDLC best practices, and guiding technical direction across development, testing, database management, and data integration/ETL processes. The Manager partners closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable plans, monitor project delivery, and maintain system reliability, security, and performance.
The role also champions operational excellence—enforcing engineering standards, implementing tools and processes that boost productivity, and supporting change management initiatives. Additional duties include recruiting and developing technical talent, mentoring team members, and ensuring compliance with company policies and InfoSec guidelines.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in a technical field; 7–10+ years of progressive experience in application development (including 3+ years in leadership); strong background in Microsoft technologies (.NET, SQL Server, Azure DevOps); deep understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, Agile/Scrum, and modern architecture; and experience in high-volume, data-driven environments. Leadership, communication, strategic thinking, and a team-oriented mindset are essential.
