Project Coordinator
The Project Coordinator supports the PMO and project management teams by coordinating project financials, documentation, and processes to ensure projects are delivered accurately and in compliance with contractual and financial requirements. This role assists with budget and expense tracking, customer invoicing, revenue recognition, and accounts payable for vendors and subcontractors, including verification of contracts, insurance, and lien waivers prior to payment. The Project Coordinator reviews client contracts to understand billing terms, deadlines, and reimbursable expenses, supports periodic project close activities, and ensures costs and billings are properly recorded or accrued. Working closely with project managers, this position helps maintain project documentation, supports resource and budget planning, and assists with project financial closeout and internal and external audit requests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in project coordination, project accounting, or a related role
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and cost tracking
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word (Smartsheet a plus)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment
