Senior Test Automation Engineer

The Role

What You’ll Do

  • Design and maintain automated test frameworks for enterprise applications and distributed systems
  • Partner with development, DevOps, and product teams to define test strategies and standards
  • Build automated tests across API, UI, integration, and performance layers
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
  • Identify and report defects clearly, working with developers to resolve issues
  • Establish best practices for test automation and code quality
  • Mentor QA and engineering team members

Requirements

  • 7+ years in software quality assurance, with 4+ years in test automation
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript
  • Experience building automation frameworks from scratch
  • Expertise with tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured, or Postman
  • Knowledge of test design: unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing
  • Experience integrating testing into CI/CD environments
  • API testing experience and data-driven testing knowledge
  • Experience with cloud systems (AWS preferred) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • SQL proficiency and data validation experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Nice to Have

  • Performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, k6)
  • BDD/TDD frameworks (Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG)
  • Microservices and event-driven architecture testing
  • Healthcare standards knowledge (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR)
  • Experience scaling automation in growing organizations
